CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A major reconstruction and paving project on Interstate 79 between Anmoore and Saltwell Road is moving forward after the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) awarded more than a dozen transportation contracts from a special bid letting held Oct. 28.
The largest project on the list focuses on rebuilding approximately eight miles of the six-lane stretch of I-79 in Harrison County. The work includes reconstruction, extensive drainage improvements, and new pavement.
“That’s the greatest project we have going on in District 4,” WVDOH District 4 Manager Earl Gaskins said. “It’s the one we’ve been waiting for.”
