Amid the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) work, a Booth Level Officer (BLO) died of cardiac arrest in Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur district on Wednesday morning. The relatives of the officer, Hariam alias Hariom Bairwa, have alleged that he collapsed after a receiving a call from the tehsildar.

The kin further alleged that officials were exerting pressure on him regarding SIR duties, owing to which he had been under severe stress for the last six days. He had stopped interacting much at home and suffered a heart attack due to the continuous workload, the relatives claimed.

“I don’t know what the tehsildar said on the call, but five minutes later he suffered a heart attack,” PTI quoted Hariram’s father, Brijmohan Bairwa, as saying.
