The average Air Quality Index (AQI) jumped to 392 in Delhi on Wednesday, nearing the ‘severe’ mark, data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) showed. According to a forecast, the air quality is likely to deteriorate further.
The AQI is likely to hover between ‘very poor’ and ‘severe’ categories for the next six days, according to Ministry of Earth Sciences’ Air Quality Early Warning System.
The 24-hour average Air Quality Index (AQI) settled at 392 — in the ‘very poor’ category for the sixth consecutive day — up from 374 on Tuesday and 351 on Monday, data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) showed.
