Heartbreaking tribute to poppy seller killed in van crash View Image
A man, described as a "pillar of the community", who was hit by a van and died in hospital, was a volunteer who sold poppies for the Royal British Legion.
David Watch, 83 and of Warmley , died after being hit by a van while crossing Victoria Road at around 8am on Thursday, October 9.
Avon and Somerset Police, as well as the ambulance service, attended the scene.
David was rushed to hospital but tragically died of his injuries later that day.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "Our thoughts remain with the family during this incredibly difficult time, who have received specialist support from a family liaison officer."
