OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - Marion County commissioners have approved construction for I-75 exit improvements in Ocala, allowing access to a planned Buc-ee’s.
The Off-System Construction and Maintenance Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation is an ongoing diamond interchange project at I-75 and Northwest 49th Street funded in part by Marion County’s Penny Sales Tax.
As FDOT begins construction, the agreement allows for the construction of drainage systems, sidewalks, and signal improvements and the installation of a welcoming “Ocala” sign on the north side of the bridge overpass as part of the county’s larger gateway project.
