FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) - A traffic stop on KY RT 114 resulted in a drug trafficking arrest, according to the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department.
On November 16, deputies arrested Austin Jones of Pikeville after they found drugs and cash in his presence.
Jones was stopped on KY RT 114 for traffic violations.
During the stop, deputies said they deployed K9 “Zoe,” who alerted them that illegal narcotics were present in Jones’ vehicle.
Jones was arrested and taken to the Floyd County Jail.
He was charged with one count of driving under the influence and three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance.
