EASTMAN, Ga. — A 31-year-old man was shot and killed Tuesday morning in Eastman , and his family is remembering him as a fun-loving father of three.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says Eric Morgan died from gunshot wounds on Lee Avenue in Eastman.
His cousin, Johnnie Fluellen, said she received a call around 7:30 a.m. saying Morgan had been shot multiple times while running to his father's house for safety.
"She said Eric got shot. I don't know where and I don't know why," Fluellen said.
When Fluellen arrived at the scene, law enforcement lights illuminated the property and crime scene tape surrounded the home. She said she saw Morgan's body on the side of his father's house.
