ROSWELL, Ga. — The city of Roswell is getting a facelift. Several new developments are underway, and the city's latest proposal will sit at a key intersection.

The city's working to drum up new business by transforming old spaces. Untapped potential sits at the intersection of Highway 9 and Holcomb Bridge Road.

Theresa Mattioli has lived in Roswell for nearly 30 years. She often drives by Town Center, a shopping center that includes half-vacant buildings on land owned by Mimms Enterprises . The city formally agreed to transform the space into a mixed-use development.

“I think it could use some different development," Mattioli said. "I think there's opportunity for housing, maybe even some affordable housing."
