ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - One person was killed after a crash in Orangeburg County early Wednesday.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the wreck happened at around 8:40 a.m. in the area of Riley Road and Mixon Mill Road, just south of Cordova.

Troopers said a 2019 Chevrolet Impala heading north on Riley Road was trying to turn left onto Mixon Mill Road when it was hit by a 2010 Honda Accord also heading north.

The crash also caused the Chevrolet to go off the right side of the road, strike a ditch and overturn.

SCHP said one of two people inside the Honda died, while the other was taken to a hospital. The driver of the Chevrolet was not hurt.
