The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a person of interest in connection with a deadly shooting in Central City.

According to police, they were called to the 2100 block of South Claiborne around 6:35 p.m. on Nov. 11.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man with at least one gunshot wound to the body.

He was transported to a local hospital by EMS, where he later died.

Thompson is not wanted for the crime and is sought only because of the information she is believed to possess.
