On Nov. 17, a man who shares initials with Vice President JD Vance was sentenced to two years in a federal prison after threatening the lives of President Donald Trump, his vice president, Elon Musk and Donald Trump Jr.

James Donald Vance Jr. made the threats on social media earlier this year and pled guilty to two offenses: threatening to kill or injure the President and Vice President and interstate threatening communications

While their names appear the same, the vice president's full name is James David Vance; he prefers to go by JD
