PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Investigators have identified a man accused of killing his girlfriend and bringing her body to a Phoenix Police substation early Tuesday morning.
Josue Barreras Anaya is jailed on one count of premeditated first-degree murder in the death of a woman whose name has not yet been released.
Police say Anaya showed up at the Maryvale Estrella Mountain Precinct on Encanto Boulevard around 5 a.m. on Tuesday, telling officers that his girlfriend was in the bed of his pickup truck .
Officers confirmed the woman was dead, with “obvious signs of trauma.” Anaya, who was then detained, reportedly told police where the crime happened.
Other officers went to the home in the area of 71st Avenue and Thomas Road and established a crime scene. Anaya was arrested and is currently
