LOS ANGELES -- For 30 years, Shepard Faireys work has been a staple of the art world, with pieces like the Obama "Hope" poster and his OBEY campaign.

The American artist and activist has created prolific protest posters, and his aesthetic became iconic, especially through the medium of propaganda.

Now, his full body of work is in the spotlight at Beyond The Streets art gallery in West Hollywood for a retrospective showcase.

The collection will feature 400 pieces by Fairey, along with a retro television set installation looping archival footage of his old interviews and street work.

"With every image I make, Im hoping that it can capture the zeitgeist, capture that moment of whats going on in the world," he said.
