The man accused of fatally shooting actor Jonathan Joss, known for his roles on “King of the Hill” and “Parks and Recreation,” has been officially charged in the killing.
A grand jury this week indicted Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez on a charge of first-degree murder for allegedly killing Joss, who was his next door neighbor, according to court records cited by People. He was subsequently released on $200,000 bond.
Joss was shot and killed on June 1, while he was visiting the site of his former home just south of San Antonio. When authorities responded to the gunfire around 7 p.m., they discovered Joss lying “near the roadway” and “attempted life-saving measures,” police said. Joss was ultimately pronounced dead on the scene. He was 57 years old.
