HARRISBURG — Pennsylvania state lawmakers continue work to advance legislation designed to protect kids from being sexually exploited by fake images and videos created with artificial intelligence.
Members of the state Senate voted 46-0 on Wednesday to pass a bill expanding the responsibility of mandated reporters like school staff, health care providers and volunteer coaches to report child pornography, including materials generated by AI, to the Department of Human Services regardless of whether the material was created or shared by another minor.
