A Kent County woman picked up a snack and a big winning Michigan Lottery ticket during a recent late-night trip.

The 54-year-old woman, who chose to remain anonymous, told the Michigan Lottery she woke up hungry one night and went on a food run. While out, she purchased a few lottery tickets, including a Lady Luck 777 instant game, according to the Michigan Lottery .

When she scratched the ticket at home, she was shocked to see she had won $1 million.

She bought the ticket at D 28 Inc., located at 5 28th Street Southwest in Wyoming, Michigan.

"I had a hard time going back to sleep that night!” she said.

The woman recently claimed her prize and opted to receive it as a one-time lump sum of about $693,000 instead of annuity payments for the full amount. More: Where biggest winning
