BLACKVILLE, S.C. — A Blackville family is pleading for answers in the death of 18-year-old Rakel Howard, who was found shot to death in June.
Howard was found lying in the backyard of a home on Oak Avenue and Davis Street around 2 a.m. on June 21, bleeding from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The location was just a few blocks away from the Blackville Police Department.
According to an incident report, police responded within two minutes of receiving a call for shots fired. Howard was not alone that night and was with a friend was not injured.
