Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents conducted a raid at a business in Newark on Wednesday morning, Nov. 19, authorities said.
This was the second time ICE had raided Ocean Seafood Depot at 331 Adams St., having previously visited the site in January. At least 26 ICE agents were at the facility for the 9 a.m. raid, along with several FBI agents, News12 New Jersey reported.
In a statement, ICE said they conducted a court executed search warrant as part of an active criminal investigation involving labor operations at Ocean Seafood.
ICE said they could not release additional information, given the ongoing investigation.
It is unknown how many people, if any, were detained.
