CLINTON, Iowa (KWQC) - A Clinton woman has been sentenced in connection with a fentanyl death in 2024.
Court records show Camren Cady, 21, was sentenced Nov. 13 to 10 years in prison on one count of a controlled-substance violation and five years on one count of involuntary manslaughter.
The judge ordered the charges to run concurrently.
Court records also show she posted a $10,000 appeal bond, meaning she will remain out of custody until her appeal is resolved.
Cady pleaded guilty to the charges in August.
Police said the Carroll County 911 Center received a call about an unresponsive person at a home on Feb. 27, 2024 , in the 5500 block of Illinois Route 84 in Thomson, Illinois.
