GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - This recipe has a unique twist on a favorite southern dish.

You get the comfort of creamy pimento cheese and the zing of briny olives.

This is perfect for a holiday gathering because you can assemble and freeze until ready to put into the air fryer.

20 to 22 olives in brine (preferably colossal size)

⅓ cup all-purpose flour

1 large egg, beaten

½ cup panko breadcrumbs

¼ cup finely grated Parmesan cheese

1 garlic clove, finely grated

½ cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon thinly sliced chives
