NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The suspect in a weekend shooting in Nashville has been arrested, according to police.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said the shooting happened on Saturday afternoon on Fain Street at Fairfield Avenue, injuring a 40-year-old man.
Surveillance video showed the 40-year-old man punching another man as a group gathered near Fairfield Avenue, and as the 40-year-old walked away, shots were reportedly fired in his direction.
The 40-year-old was taken to a hospital by a private vehicle. He sustained a gunshot wound through his left thigh, which also entered his right leg, shattering his femur.
Leon Howard III, 28, was identified in a photo lineup as the shooter, police said. TITANS Unit detectives arrested him Tuesday afternoon along Trinity Lane.
