SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA (KPLC) - The Calcasieu Parish School Board is honoring three educators as its 2025-2026 Teachers of the Year.

The three are:

Kayla Armentor - Dolby Elementary School

Sara Logan - S.P. Arnett Middle School

Nelkika Colquitt - LaGrange High School

CPSB Superintendent Dr. Jason VanMetre said the following regarding the honorees:

“Great teachers spark curiosity, build confidence, and change the trajectory of students’ lives. These three educators exemplify what it means to lead with passion, purpose, and heart. To achieve this honor, we know their classrooms are places where students feel valued and capable, and their commitment to excellence strengthens our entire district. We are honored to celebrate them as this year’s Teachers of the Year.”
