LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The end is in sight for construction on a stretch of US-127 in Lansing that’s been closed since spring.
MDOT will close multiple ramps and lanes of US-127 starting Thursday morning in order to switch traffic back to its normal configuration.
Crews have been working since March to rebuild the southbound lanes between I-69 and I-496. The northbound lanes of the same stretch were rebuilt in 2024. It’s all part of a larger project to improve the US-127 corridor from the Ingham/Jackson County line north to the I-69 interchange.
The following ramps/lanes will be closed from Friday morning until midday Saturday after traffic is switched to its normal configuration:
Southbound US-127 will have one lane closed from Forrest Road to Dunckel Road
