Former Newcastle United and Middlesbrough manager Steve McClaren has resigned as Jamaica's head coach following their unsuccessful World Cup qualification campaign.
The ex-England boss, who also failed to qualify for Euro 2008, saw his side lose out to Curacao for a place at the World Cup in North America next summer.
McClaren announced his departure by saying: "Over the last 18 months I have given everything I have to this job. Leading this team has been one of the greatest honours of my career. But football is a results business and tonight we have fallen short of our goal, which was to qualify from this group.
