KINGSTON, N.Y. — As of today, city chiropractor John Boyle cannot be released on bail on charges of possessing and sharing with his wife thousands of images and videos containing child sexual abuse material, Assistant District Attorney Jenna Hastings said Wednesday.

“He is now remanded instead of out on bond on the original charges,” Hastings said, adding that, “there are now orders of protection in place for the children. We intend to keep those in place.”

Boyle, also known as John F. Boyle III, 34, was out on bail Saturday, Nov. 15, when he was arrested by town of Ulster police who responded to a reported child abuse complaint. He had posted bail and is scheduled for sentencing on Friday, Dec. 12.
