SACRAMENTO – California Governor Gavin Newsom once again finds himself behind the eight ball as he prepares for the fourth consecutive year of the states finances being in the red.

The Sacramento Bee is reporting the projected deficit is $18 billion which they say is due in part to a boom in artificial intelligence aka AI.

And Newsom can thank himself and Sen. Scott Wiener as they jubilantly celebrated Gavin proudly signing the new legislation two months ago that advanced “world-leading artificial intelligence industry”.
