Man, 21, dies in collision with sedan and pickup truck near Nisku

A 21-year-old man from Redwater is dead after a two-vehicle collision near Nisku on Tuesday morning.

Just before 6:30 a.m. officers in Leduc were called to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Township Road 502, east of 9 Street near Nisku, said police in a release.

Emergency crews found the driver of an Audi sedan with serious injuries, and he died on scene. The male driver of a Dodge truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

RCMP remained on scene for several hours investigating the collision.

With the first heavy snowfall of winter arriving on Tuesday, RCMP said officers responded to several collisions on Alberta roads over the course of the day.
