LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Webb County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested two wanted fugitives during separate traffic stops while conducting Operation Lone Star (OLS) patrols in the Santa Rita area.

18-year-old Ferni Costilla was taken into custody on active warrants issued by the Laredo Police Department for assault-family violence and unlawful restraint, according to the sheriff’s office.

In a separate traffic stop, investigators arrested 30-year-old Giovanni Diaz-Resendez, who was wanted on Webb County Sheriff’s Office warrants for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana.

Both suspects were transported to the Webb County Jail for booking on their outstanding warrants.
