A couscous manufacturer is making the move from Lancaster County to the Capital City.

US Durum Products LTD is relocating from 1812 William Penn Way in East Lampeter Township to a larger facility at 523 S. 17th St. in Harrisburg.

“We are happy to be here and look forward to being a strong part of the local community for many years to come,” Said Chergui, president and CEO of US Durum, in a news release.

Gov. Josh Shapiro and Lt. Gov. Austin Davis announced the move on Wednesday. The governor said the company plans to invest $8 million in the project, and that 39 jobs will be retained and 25 new jobs will be created. As part of this expansion, the company is investing in new equipment and technologies.
