ATLANTA — SNAP benefits are now funded through November after the federal government reopened, but new questions are emerging about what may come next.
The Trump administration is signaling that all SNAP recipients may soon be required to reapply for the program. U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins has raised concerns about fraud within the nation's largest food assistance system.
In a recent Fox Business interview , Rollins said the agency has uncovered troubling data.
"What we have found since we started getting that data late spring of this year is just stunning," Rollins said. "186,000 deceased individuals receiving benefits. 500,000 people getting two times the benefit."
