LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The LOUMED District just got a lot greener with the opening of LOUMED Commons on East Chestnut.

The new development is part of an urban park initiative that aims to bring more green spaces and pedestrian-friendly areas to downtown Louisville.

Officials told WAVE that a lot of thought went into the design of the one-acre park to make things more welcoming and stress-free for visitors.
