HERMISTON, Ore. – An injured veteran in Hermiston received an extraordinary gift: a fully accessible, mortgage-free smart home. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation handed over the keys to the home in a heartwarming dedication ceremony.

Sergeant Jason Walker, a veteran of both the Marines and the Army, and his two sons experienced their new home for the first time. Walker, who served multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, survived a devastating IED blast during his third deployment in 2013. The explosion resulted in the loss of his left leg below the knee and a traumatic brain injury.
