The Elizabeth Forward School District will move forward with a plan to consolidate schools, despite community pushback at Wednesday’s school board meeting.
The plan falls under the second phase of the high school renovation project, which would add a 7 th and 8 th grade wing to Elizabeth Forward High School. Advertisement
“That would entail this building, our current middle school, becoming a 2-6 building and our current Central Elementary, which is up on the hill, becoming a K-1 building,” said Elizabeth Forward Superintendent Keith Konyk.
The renovation project as a whole was sparked from a fire in the high school’s auditorium in 2023. Konyk said the high school was rebuilt as part of the ongoing phase one of the project. He explained phase two was developed to
