Police in Liwonde, Machinga, have arrested three people in connection with the disappearance of 10 computer machines at Mlomba Secondary School.
According to Liwonde Police deputy spokesperson Liznet Kathumba, two of the suspects work as security guards at the school, while the third is a computer studies teacher.
The missing computers were donated to the school by MACRA under the national initiative aimed at promoting digital literacy through improved access to computers and internet services in schools across Malawi. The machines went missing earlier this week.
Meanwhile, community development committees and residents surrounding the school have urged police to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure that justice is served.
