At 4:51 a.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service released a dense fog advisory in effect until 9 a.m. for Franklin, Columbia, Dauphin, Schuylkill, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams, York and Lancaster counties.
"Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog," can be anticipated according to the weather service. "A light glaze of ice from freezing fog could also result in hazardous driving conditions through the morning commute especially on bridges and overpasses."
"Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous," comments the weather service. "If driving, slow down, use your low-beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you."
