Supermarket giant Morrisons is opening 250 ‘daily’ stores across England after axing 103 shops, cafes and pharmacies. Morrisons will transform 250 local shops into its own branded “Morrisons Daily” convenience stores next year, it says.

Boss Rami Baitieh says the expansion is a “key part of Morrisons ’ growth strategy” as he vows to bring the company back to “peak form” after sales dipped by £1billion last year.
