DEDHAM, Mass. —

Jury selection continues Thursday in the murder trial of Brian Walshe, the Massachusetts man accused of killing and dismembering his wife in 2023.

Twelve people have been seated on the jury this week, and the judge has indicated that the court may look to empanel more than 16 jurors.

"Jury selection is also an opportunity for parties to get to know jurors, start to build connections and relationships," said legal analyst Greg Henning. "It's not friendships, but it's an opportunity to show how you're going to operate. Your demeanor. Your affect."

The Cohasset father is accused of killing and dismembering Ana Walshe, 39, around New Year's Day in 2023. Prosecutors allege that Walshe disposed of his wife's remains in dumpsters around the area.
