A man accused in the death of his pregnant girlfriend in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, has been indicted on a murder charge in her death.

Gregory Groom, 22, is accused of killing 18-year-old Kylee Monteiro, who was 11 weeks pregnant and was last seen in August. He was indicted on charges of murder and witness intimidation.

He will be arraigned in Fall River Superior Court next week. He has been held without bail since his initial arraignment in August.

Investigators said they found Monteiro's remains in a grave dug on the property where Groom lives with his grandparents on County Street in Rehoboth.

Monteiro's family said she told them she feared for her safety shortly before her disappearance .

“She was so loving and so caring, and I love her so much. My daughter was her best friend,”
