A driver who is charged in the hit-and-run death of a tricyclist in Framingham, Massachusetts, is expected in court Thursday.
The crash happened at about 9:52 a.m. Wednesday at the corner of Concord Street, which is Route 126, and Gorman Road across from Framingham District Court. Police said the man was taken to a local hospital but died. His name was not released.
Police said the driver, Paulo Castro, 69, of Framingham, was charged with leaving the scene of personal injury causing death.
The crash involved a tricycle and a Carby's Lumber flatbed truck.
"The flatbed was turning left, and must not have seen him, and hit him, and then took off, that's why the cops came down looking for him," witness Tracy Moutafis said.
