Montreal police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Dollard-des-Ormeaux Wednesday night.

While initially listed as being in critical condition, the 21-year-old pedestrian’s status had been upgraded to stable, police said early Thursday.

The incident occurred at about 7 p.m. at the corner of Des Sources and Salaberry Blvds. Information gleaned thus far by investigators indicates the vehicle being driven by a 60-year-old motorist struck the pedestrian as he crossed at the intersection.

Police are examining local surveillance cameras and seeking witnesses in an effort to determine the sequence of events leading to the crash.
