Security workers at a Northeast Philadelphia Walmart got a real scare on Halloween last month when, police claim, a man suspected of theft produced a firearm and threatened to shoot them unless he was allowed to leave.

Police in Philadelphia shared surveillance images in the hopes of identifying the suspected gunman on social media on Thursday.

According to police, the incident happened at about 7 p.m. on Oct. 31, 2025, at a Walmart store located along the 9700 block of Roosevelt Boulevard after a man was stopped for retail theft by store security
