Vile ex-police officer David Carrick has been handed his 37th life sentence for sex abuse dating back more than three decades.
The 50-year-old - who served as an armed officer in the Metropolitan Police - was already behind bars and serving 36 life sentences, with a minimum term of 32 years.
It came after he admitted in 2022 and 2023 a total of 71 sexual offences - including 48 rapes, against 12 other women over 17 years.
Fresh allegations later emerged that he repeatedly raped and abused a woman during a toxic relationship while working as a police officer and that he molested a 12-year-old child in the late 1980s - when he was a teenager.
