The advisory was for Fayette Ridges as well as Beaver, Allegheny, Washington, Greene and Fayette counties.
"Patchy areas of dense fog may linger, but the overall area trends indicate improving visibilities that will continue through the rest of the morning. The overall dense fog threat is ending," according to the National Weather Service.
