Sajeeb Wazed on Wednesday accused Bangladesh interim government’s chief advisor and Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus and the interim administration of manipulating Bangladesh’s restored caretaker government system to engineer a “rigged" election that sidelines the Awami League. In a Facebook post, the son of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina said the Supreme Court’s decision to bring back the caretaker model in a ruling on Thursday only after the upcoming polls was a “sham judgement" designed to legitimise an “unelected, unconstitutional and illegal regime."
