BEAUMONT, Texas — Two Southeast Texas men have been indicted on murder charges in the October shooting death of a 34-year-old Beaumont man, according to court documents. Lamond Hines, 46, of Beaumont, and Murry Gibbs, 31, of Port Arthur, were both indicted on Nov. 19, 2025, in the Oct. 5 fatal shooting of Joseph Calvin Bihm Jr.

Police first responded to the case on the morning of Oct. 5 after receiving a shots-fired call in the 1400 block of Orange Avenue at 7:28 a.m., according to the Beaumont Police Department. Officers found Bihm inside a gray Ram 1500 pickup that had crashed into a fence in the front yard of a home. Beaumont EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.
