BEAUMONT, Texas — A 20-year-old Beaumont woman has filed a lawsuit against Walmart and a delivery driver, alleging she was sexually assaulted in her apartment by a man who was improperly using his girlfriend's account to deliver groceries through Walmart's Spark driver app.

The woman, through her attorney, filed the civil suit Wednesday in Jefferson County District Court, naming Wal-Mart Stores Texas, L.P., Walmart, Inc., and Aaron Middleton as defendants. According to the petition, the incident occurred on May 27, 2025, when Middleton delivered groceries the woman had ordered through the Walmart app to her Beaumont apartment.
