Pack your bags, snowbirds. Travelers will be able to fly Frontier Airlines nonstop from Detroit to five new cities — all with typically warmer climates − heading into the holiday season.

Frontier Airlines launched service for one nonstop flight — to Fort Lauderdale, Florida — from the Detroit Metro Airport on Thursday, Nov. 20, and four other nonstop routes are expected to launch in the following days.

Nonstop service to airports in Houston, Miami, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Cancun, Mexico, will roll out Nov. 21-23, according to the airline.

The Florida and Houston flights will run three times a week. The Charlotte, North Carolina, flight will run twice a week. The Cancun flight will run once a week.
