STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The FDNY fought a house fire in Midland Beach on Thursday.
The fire was called at 12:02 p.m. at 59 Slater Blvd. between Hylan Boulevard and Laconia Avenue, according to a spokesman for the FDNY and EMS.
About 12 units and 60 firefighters and EMS personnel brought the situation under control in about a half-hour, at 12:34 p.m., the spokesman said.
No injuries were reported.
Windows were busted in the front of the house during the emergency response.
