SHELBY COUNTY — A Shelbina woman facing a kidnapping charge in Shelby County has been released from jail on her own recognizance.

In a probable cause statement Rebecca Dawn Humphrey is accused of locking her kids in a basement in September.

One of the victims reported multiple instances of physical abuse, and that Humphrey allegedly instructed the children not to tell authorities, according to the probable cause statement. Humphrey’s arraignment is scheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 3.
