KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A woman was found shot to death in a vehicle, prompting a homicide investigation by Kansas City police.
The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department says that reports of gunshots near 55th and Wabash Ave. were received around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20.
When first responders arrived, they said they found a vehicle in an alley with an adult female inside. She was believed to have been shot to death and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
As of 10 p.m., homicide detectives indicated that they remained at the scene to canvass for witnesses. Crime scene investigators are also processing evidence.
Police believe the shooting occurred in the alley where the vehicle was found.
